Forged Copper Conductor Studs for Transformers (Tin Plating optional)

Nikkon Ferro’s Copper Conductor Studs are precision-engineered components used in transformer applications to provide secure and high-conductivity electrical connections between internal windings and external terminals. These specialized studs are made from high-purity electrolytic grade copper (ETP/EC Grade) and feature tin-plated lateral surfaces for superior corrosion resistance and solderability.

Each stud is designed with one forged end to ensure robust mechanical strength for high current loads, while the opposite end is threaded for secure mounting into bushings or terminals. These studs are typically enclosed within porcelain insulators, making them ideal for medium to high-voltage transformer systems.

Key Features

  • Material: High-conductivity copper (Cu-ETP / Cu11000)
  • Finish: Tin-plated sides to prevent oxidation
  • Design: One end forged for mechanical load, one end threaded for fastening
  • Insulation Compatibility: Designed for use with porcelain or epoxy bushings
  • Applications: Power and distribution transformers, electrical switchgear, and other high-current equipment

  • Applications

These studs act as key conductor interfaces in:

  • Transformer bushing assemblies
  • HV/LV terminals for oil-immersed transformers
  • Epoxy-cast or porcelain-insulated post connectors

  • Customization Available

Thread length, forging shape, and tin plating thickness can be customized as per client specifications and voltage class requirements.
